SPEEDWAY SPOTLIGHT – ALBANY MOTOR SPEEDWAY
CARTERSVILLE, GA – Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA will begin
its first season being sanctioned by the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing
Series in 2012. In addition to
being sanctioned by the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS, Albany Motor Speedway will
also host a pair of NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring
events in 2012.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will visit Albany
Motor Speedway on April 20 with a $2,000-to-win 40-lap event and on April
21 for a $2,500-to-win 50-lap race. It
will be the first ever visit to Albany Motor Speedway for the NeSmith
Chevrolet DLMS Tour.
From March 26 through September 30, drivers in the Albany Motor
Speedway Nesmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Late Model Division will
compete for a track point fund, and a $20,000 National point fund against
drivers from other NeSmith Chevrolet WRS sanctioned tracks.
The National Champion will pocket $10,000 and the National point
fund will pay back ten spots.
Albany Motor Speedway is a ¼-mile
semi-banked clay oval located south of Albany, GA off Highway 19 on
