CHEVROLET WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR MAY 27
FORT PAYNE, AL – Mark Clifton of Brewton, AL and Mark Stokes
of Steens, MS were the big winners in NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing
Series West Region action over the Memorial Day
Holiday
weekend.
Clifton
and Stokes each doubled up with a pair of wins.
Clifton
remains undefeated with five wins in five starts.
All five of
Clifton
’s
wins have come at Flomaton Speedway in
Flomaton
,
AL
,
where he posted win number four on Saturday night, and then recorded a
series-leading win number five on Monday night.
Both of Stokes’ wins came in
Columbus
,
MS
at two different tracks. Stokes
won Saturday night at
Columbus
Speedway
,
and on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor
Speedway
.
The defending NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly
Racing Series West Region Champion Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba, MS
continues to lead the West Region points chase with 412 points,
followed by Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS with 341 points.
Chris Griffin of Flomaton, AL is third with 315 points, and
fourth is his teammate Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL with 313 points.
Heath Gibson of Brewton, AL is fifth with
308 points, and Talbert Goldman of Meridian, MS is sixth with 292
points. Shannon Lee of
Lumberton, MS is seventh with 287, and Micha McCall of Flomaton, AL is
eighth with 273 points. Seth
Gransberry of Century, FL is ninth with 256 points, and Jim McDuffie
of Meridian, MS rounds out the top ten in the West Region with 243
points.

Plains, GA, who has 392 points.
Adam Martin of Talladega,

picked up his first win of the season on May 17 at
Talladega
Short Track in
Eastaboga
,
AL
after five second-place finishes.
Martin has climbed to third in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East
Region standings with 382 points.
Stephens and Harrod have 11 and 10 starts respectively, while
Martin has eight starts.
Anthony Meadows of Lanett,
AL
picked up his fourth NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region wins of the
season on Saturday night at
East
Alabama
Motor
Speedway
in
Phenix
City
,
AL
,
and is fourth in the East Region standings with 371 points in nine
starts. Jimmy Elkins Jr.
of Talladega, AL is fifth with 366 points.
Chase Edge of Lafayette, AL is sixth with
354 points after his best finish of the season, a third-place showing

Gooden of Lafayette, AL are tied for the tenth in the NeSmith
Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region, each with 322 points.
