NeSMITH CHEVROLET WEEKLY RACING SERIES ROUND UP FOR JUNE 30

               CARTERSVILLE, GA – Ben McCreary of Baldwyn, MS picked up two wins over the weekend during Week 14 of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series to move up to the sixth spot in the West Region point standings and into Championship contention.

McCreary won a pair of events in Columbus , MS at Columbus Speedway on Saturday night, and at Magnolia Motor Speedway on Sunday night for his first two wins of the season.  Lucky Keeton of Toomsuba , MS continues to lead the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region standings with 619 points in 14 starts in search of his third straight title.

Shannon Lee of Lumberton, MS is second in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS West Region standings with 561 points in 14 starts, and Josh Huss of Flomaton, AL is third with 511 points in 13 starts.  Herman Reynolds of Laurel, MS is fourth with 474 points in 13 starts, and Chris Griffin of Flomaton, AL is fifth with 460 points in 12 starts.

McCreary has 418 points in just nine starts with seven top fives and eight top ten finishes go with his two wins over the weekend.  Tracy Sutton of Brewton, AL is seventh in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region standings with 392 points after his first win of the season on Saturday night at Flomaton Speedway in Flomaton , AL .

Talbert Goldman of Meridian, MS is eighth in the West Region standings with 382 points in nine starts, followed by Micha McCall of Flomaton, AL in ninth with 373 points in 11 starts, and Mark Clifton of Brewton, AL rounds out the top ten of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region with 363 points in eight starts.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region action over the weekend, Jim McDuffie of Meridian , MS posted his third win of the season on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian , MS .  Southern Speedway in Hattiesburg , MS was rained out on Friday night, and A1 Raceway in Slidell , LA was rained out on Saturday night.

Richie Stephens of Phenix City, AL picked up his series-leading eighth win of the season on Saturday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City , AL on Saturday night to go with a second-place effort on Friday night at Penton Raceway in Penton , AL .

Stephens continues to lead the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region standings with 708 points in 20 starts.  Stephens’ point total reflects his 16 best finishes during the season.  Stephens holds a 22-point lead over Blake Stewart of Centre, AL .

 Stewart moved into the second spot in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region over the weekend with a double point win on Friday night at Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Fort Payne , AL , his fourth of the season.  Stewart now has 686 points in 16 starts.  Adam Martin of Talladega, AL is third in the East Region standings with 650 points in 14 starts.

 Larry Harrod of Plains, GA is fourth in the NeSmith Chevrolet WRS East Region standings with 634 points in 16 starts, and Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL is fifth with 627 points in 15 starts.  Dillon Crim of Eastaboga, AL is sixth with 582 points in 17 starts, and Marc Gooden of Lafayette, AL is seventh with 577 points in 18 starts.

 Anthony Meadows of Lanett, AL is eighth in the East Region standings with 565 points in 14 starts, and Chase Edge of Lafayette, AL is ninth with 561 points in 20 starts.  Brian Ponder of Talladega, AL rounds out the top ten in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region standings with 558 points in 13 starts.

In other NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region competition over the weekend, William Thomas of Phenix City, AL captured his fourth win of the season on Friday night at Penton Raceway, and Kasey Hall of Geraldine, AL posted his first win of the season on Saturday night at Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, AL.  Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, IN was rained out on Saturday night.
